The mission of the SEC is to protect investors, maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets, and to facilitate capital formation. To support this mission, the SEC seeks to hire highly qualified staff in all of its major occupations including: attorneys, accountants, economists, examiners, paralegals, and support professionals (administrative, human resources, management analysts, etc.).
